I went to the Trick Eye Museum shortly before my sister left for her 6 months exchange program to Akita. I have seen several of my friends going to this museum (Both in Korea and Singapore) so I thought it would be a fun excursion to go with my family.
So what is Trick Eye Museum?
It is dubbed as a museum like no other!
Trick Eye is short for ‘Trick of the eye’, that refers to a particular art technique that actually transform two-dimensional paintings into three-dimensional images through the use of optical illusions. The 2D paintings on the museum walls, floors and ceilings would appear to pop out of the surface giving it a 3D effect.
The paintings are nicely drawn! It is perfect for family or friends outing. You will have much fun taking photos and creating memories with your camera. However, be prepared to actually have to climb up ladders or lay on the floor for certain paintings. Don’t be afraid to act silly in these pictures, let your creative juices flow! :)
One thing to note is to try to avoid peak periods as you may expect a crowd. You will also need to be patient and get your pose ready. Once the last person walks way, “chiong” to pose and snap away!!
These are a few fun pictures I have taken during my visit.
