Review: Missha Wonder Woman BB Cushion

I used to be fan of Missha but had started to lose interest because it is quite expensive in Singapore plus the items here are very outdated and limited. Moreover, they generally are quite low profile. However, Missha decided to have a collaboration!!

I was so excited to see they have the Missha x Wonder Woman Collaboration!! I love anything superhero related and I thought this was so freaking awesome! I decided to try the BB Cushion (I didn’t go crazy and get the entire collection as I have plenty of makeup and I shouldn’t be just buying another eye shadow palette for no good reason~

Missha x Wonder Woman CollectionThe collection is separated into 2 colors – Red (Matte) and Blue (Moisture). I think my skin has issues, it cannot decide if it wants to be oily or combination. I have different people telling me I am oily/ combination. I realized my cheek and chin area tend to be dry and cakey. So after contemplating for a while, I decided to choose the blue range of the BB Cushion. I can just powder the oiler parts.

Thanks to Shopandbox, I am able to browse through Missha Korea’s site and I got my BB cushion for USD$6.80. It does not come with refill though (so you will have to take note of that).

Love the packaging already. Ok it’s my fault; I am always a sucker for anything that is limited edition. Limited Edition you say? Count me in!

I chose color 21 – which I presumed is Natural Beige.

[Benefits of the Moisture Cushion – Blue Range] – item description taken from here

  • Provides deep moisturizing with 3 flower oil complex and 3 flower water complex.
  • Leaves watery moist finish as forming water-protective-coat on skin.
  • Photo-Well Blurring Powder corrects skin tone naturally.

I used the cushion as my foundation for Chu-yi.

Pros:

  • Easy application, coverage is buildable
  • Long lasting and sweat proof – not sure f it was because I had used a primer
  • Cute packaging (LIMITED EDITION)
  • Makeup was not cakey

Cons

  • No 21 is a little too bright for me
  • coverage is light – medium

Overall, I love the packaging but I felt the color was a tad too light for my skin (unless you like the illuminating look) and I had to made the extra effort to blend it down my neck and décolletage so I don’t look like my head is not meant for my body. (LOL). I made the right choice of choosing the moisture range as by the end of the day, my makeup was not cakey and my cheeks area were still dewy and glowing.

It would be ideal for people who have dry skin. I think it is always good to choose the moisture range because you can opt for dewy look or have the matte look by just adding powder.

I would give a rating of 3/5 (due to the color)
