Halloween is just around the corner! If you’re attending a Halloween party or an event like Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights, how about getting your nails done in glow in the dark nail polish for that extra whimsical boost?
I picked this Chi Chi Glow In The Dark Nail Polish Set up from Target (a department store) while on vacation in Perth, Australia a few months back. Price: $16.95 AUD. That’s approximately S$3.50 a bottle which is quite a steal. I would have grabbed it just for fun anyway, since I have a fondness for anything that glows in the dark. Here’s a quick review of the set!
The packaging of Chi Chi Glow In The Dark Nail Polish does seem to recommend them for parties and spooky events as well :D
Chi Chi presents Glow In The Dark Nail Polish. These polishes really do GLOW in the dark due to their special formula. You may wear these nude or over your favourite Chi Chi nail polish shade and watch your fingertips shine as the lights go down.

Out of the package. Bright, fluorescent candy colours: pink, orange, yellow, green and blue. I’m excited to see how they’ll look on my nails!
Back view of the bottles. You can see the ball bearings inside the bottles. The nail polish is probably quite thick. I gave each bottle a roll to make sure the polish is mixed properly.
But before applying the nail polish, I recommend applying a base coat to protect your nails.
Ok, here goes! First is pink. The polish does look quite thick. The odour of the polish is relatively strong but tolerable.
First coat layer which barely covers the nail… The brush is quite easy to use and applies the polish relatively well.
First layer of all five colours, pink, orange, yellow, green and blue done. Do wait for them to dry before applying the subsequent layers.
The result after applying four coats of Chi Chi Glow In The Dark Nail Polish. I quite like how pretty the colours look in daylight! If I had more time, I would apply a few more layers to get a more opaque finish.
And do these nails really glow in the dark? YES they do! I just had to stick my hands under bright light for about a minute or two. And I also discovered that the nail polish glows brightly under UV lights even without charging, so it would definitely perform well when you party!
